Does your IP address affect on your Page Rank
Going over some SEO issues with my business partner today and the following
question came up.
Does the fact that sites hosted with the same hosting provider and
sometimes having the same IP Address affect page rank?
My argument is that in some cases it is impossible to totally control that.
If someone hosts exclusively with APlace4UOnline.com
or some other shared hosting provider, Goggle should not penalize all of that
person’s or persons’ sites. Or let’s say that Company A host on APlace4UOnline.com
and so does Company B and Company C. Company A has links from B and C because
they have a product that the other sites thinks would be useful to their readers,
but their relationship stops there. Why should Google punish all three companies
because they have similar ip addresses.
Here is an article I found in my quest for SEO Perfection
on Sabahan.com titled Is
Your Site’s IP Address Affect Your SEO and PageRank?.
